Position Overview
This position provides athletic training services to local schools and businesses, while also supporting operations and programming within the Wellness Center. Responsibilities include injury prevention, evaluation, and rehabilitation, as well as developing and implementing exercise programs for clients.
Essential Responsibilities
Athletic Training Services
- Provide day-to-day athletic training services to local school districts and businesses
- Develop plans for coverage of interscholastic practices and events
- Establish and maintain a budget for athletic training supplies and equipment
- Develop emergency action plans specific to venues and conditions
- Maintain relationships with physicians, school nurses, and coaching staff
- Maintain accurate medical records and ensure compliance with all policies and regulations
- Provide education and training for coaches on CPR/AED, concussion awareness, heat illness, and more
Wellness Center Operations
- Provide supervision, orientation, and programming for the Wellness Center
- Educate clients on safe and effective use of equipment and exercise techniques
- Design and evaluate individualized exercise programs
- Maintain facility safety, cleanliness, and equipment functionality
- Lead and develop exercise classes
- Assist with opening/closing responsibilities
Client Programming & Education
- Develop and implement safe, effective exercise programs
- Conduct client assessments and create individualized plans
- Provide ongoing education to clients and families on health, wellness, and lifestyle modifications
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support client outcomes
Additional Responsibilities
- Perform other duties as assigned
